Record core testing revenue, up 31% vs PCP; GI Navigator launched in Australia and the United
Kingdom; cost base reset underway.
Microba Life Sciences Limited (ASX: MAP) (“Microba” or the “Company”), a company at the forefront of
microbiome diagnostics, is pleased to provide a summary of its activities for the quarter ended 30 September
2026.
Key Highlights
• GI Navigator launched on 7 October 2026 in Australia and the United Kingdom: a world-first full microbiome
and gut test to help healthcare practitioners resolve complex gastrointestinal symptoms. More than 150 early
access tests were ordered ahead of launch, and more than 400 practitioners joined the waitlist.
• Record core test volume of 6,527 tests, up 32% vs PCP and 3% QoQ, an annualised run rate of more than
26,000 tests.
• Record Australian quarter of 5,589 Microbiome Explorer tests, up 44% vs PCP, with ordering clinicians up
15% to 963 and tests per clinician up 25% to 5.8. New Australian pricing took effect on 1 September 2026,
with list prices up 13–22%.
• Microbiome Explorer 3.0 released, including a new one-page report and Species in Marker, rolled out to
practitioners in September.
• Cost base reset: annualised cash operating costs reduced by approximately $5m, or over 20%, compared
with FY26.⁷ Further annualised reductions of approximately $3m are planned, which would take the total
reduction to more than 30% of the FY26 cost base.
• Funding and leadership: after quarter end, Microba received firm commitments for a $2.025 million
placement (before costs), supported by substantial shareholder Sonic Healthcare, together with Perennial,
Thorney and Microba directors. On 25 September 2026, Geoff Cockerill was appointed Interim Chief
Executive Officer.

testing growth, and now 75% of group revenue (Q1 FY26: 54%).
• Total revenue of $3.44m, down 4% vs PCP after the exit of legacy and distributed products, and down 16%
QoQ as Q4 FY26 included approximately $0.4m of annual partner revenue recognition. Core testing and
own-brand Invivo revenue grew 25% vs PCP. A late-September laboratory delay moved $0.21m of revenue
into October; excluding this and the Q4 partner revenue, revenue was broadly flat QoQ.
• Microbiome Explorer deferred revenue of $1.99m at 30 September 2026, up 54% vs PCP.
• Cash receipts of $4.27m, up 1% vs PCP and 8% QoQ, the highest quarterly receipts since the September

GI NAVIGATOR LAUNCH
On 7 October 2026, Microba launched GI Navigator in Australia and the United Kingdom. GI Navigator is a world-
first full microbiome and gut test, designed to help healthcare practitioners resolve complex gastrointestinal
symptoms. It focuses on complex or persistent GI symptoms, while Microbiome Explorer continues to be used
across a broader range of systemic health issues, giving practitioners the choice of test that best suits each
patient.
From a single at-home stool sample and a short online patient questionnaire, GI Navigator combines full
microbiome mapping², patient presentation assessment, gut physiology and pathogen screening in one test.
Results are interpreted by Microba’s proprietary Clinical Logic Engine, drawing on more than 2,500 peer-reviewed
studies, to give practitioners clear, prioritised suggested next steps for each patient.³
GI Navigator addresses an estimated 82 million patients who present each year with lower GI symptoms across
seven major markets, around half of whom do not get a resolution through routine care.⁴,⁵ More than 150 tests
were ordered through the early access programme ahead of launch (Q1 FY27: 116), and more than 400
practitioners joined the waitlist, including more than 150 who had not previously ordered a Microba test. GI
Navigator is priced at $549 in Australia and £399 in the United Kingdom and is processed through Microba’s
existing laboratory and digital platform. Take-up in the first week of launch was strong, and Microba will separately
report GI Navigator sales from the December 2026 quarter.
DIAGNOSTICS

Microbiome Explorer product pricing took effect on 1 September 2026: Essentials $449 (previously $369),
Extended $479 (previously $425) and Comprehensive $549 (previously $485). August 2026 was the highest
month on record for Australian orders, around 20% above the previous record set in June 2026, and 31 August

In the United Kingdom, 725 Microbiome Explorer tests were sold, down 7% vs PCP and 12% QoQ, during a
quieter than anticipated UK summer holiday period. Larger clinic accounts are also taking longer than anticipated
to secure, onboard and build to their full ordering potential. UK core testing revenue grew 19% vs PCP to $0.55
million. Lifting UK sales is an immediate priority, and the Company has also taken decisive actions aimed at
increasing sales, as well as further cost reduction actions as outlined in the Financials section.

Microbiome Explorer 3.0
Microbiome Explorer 3.0 was rolled out to practitioners in Australia and the United Kingdom in September. The
release brings the full report onto a single page led by a concise Report summary; introduces Species in Marker,
which shows the species contributing to every functional microbiome marker; adds 26 new evidence-graded diet
and lifestyle interventions; and refines healthy reference ranges using a larger Microba Healthy Cohort.
SUPPLEMENTS
Invivo own-brand supplement revenue was $0.70 million, up 6% vs PCP, with unit sales up 18%. Growth was led
by direct-to-consumer channels, particularly Amazon, and the Invivo subscription base grew to approximately
1,350 subscribers, from more than 1,000 at 30 June 2026. During the quarter Invivo launched in Holland &
Barrett, completed set-up for launch into Germany and received its first European distributor order, launched four
new product bundles, introduced a volume-based partner programme to standardise distributor pricing, and began
cross-selling to UK clinics that already order Microba diagnostic tests.
Invivo completed its exit from distributing third-party Designs For Health (DFH) products in Q4 FY26. Residual
DFH revenue of $0.02 million (Q1 FY26: $0.36 million) reflects the sell-down of remaining stock. As announced
today, Microba plans to commence an advisory process for a potential sale of the Invivo Supplements business,
following expressions of interest.

FINANCIALS¹
Total revenue was $3.44 million, down 4% vs PCP following the exit of legacy and distributed products, and down
16% QoQ as Q4 FY26 included approximately $0.4 million of annual revenue recognition for unused committed
testing volumes from international testing partners. Core testing revenue grew 31% vs PCP to a record $2.57
million, and a late-September laboratory delay moved $0.21 million of revenue into October. Excluding these two
items, total revenue was broadly flat QoQ. Cash receipts were $4.27 million, up 1% vs PCP and 8% QoQ. Net
cash used in operating activities was $3.80 million (Q4 FY26: $3.43 million; Q1 FY26: $4.56 million), including
approximately $0.45 million of one-off restructuring payments and $0.34 million of annual payments that fall in the
first quarter (insurance, ASX listing fees, software subscriptions and annual workers compensation premiums).
Excluding these items, normalised operating cash outflow was $3.01 million⁶, down 5% QoQ.
Cost reduction. Since June 2026, Microba has reduced its annualised cash operating costs by approximately $5
million, or over 20%, compared with FY26.⁷ Q1 FY27 is the first quarter to reflect these reductions, with staff costs
excluding restructuring down 20% vs PCP; the full benefit is not yet visible due to employment notice periods
which took place during the quarter. Restructuring payments for the current programme total approximately $0.72
million to date. Following slower-than-expected revenue growth in the United Kingdom, Microba plans further
annualised reductions of approximately $3 million, which would take the total reduction to more than 30% of the
FY26 cost base. These focus on property consolidation, a simpler leadership and organisational structure
(including a smaller Board), not backfilling vacant roles, and lower contractor, marketing, software and overhead
costs.

Capital position. Cash and equivalents were $3.87 million at 30 September 2026. After quarter end, as
announced today, Microba received firm commitments for a $2.025 million placement (before costs) at $0.04 per
share, supported by substantial shareholder Sonic Healthcare, together with Perennial, Thorney and Microba
directors. Tranche 1 of $1.025 million is expected to settle on 26 October 2026; Tranche 2 of $1.0 million is
subject to Microba shareholder approval and Genetic Signatures shareholders approving the proposed merger.
See item 8.6 of the attached Appendix 4C.

8.6 If item 8.5 is less than 2 quarters, please provide answers to the following questions:
8.6.1 Does the entity expect that it will continue to have the current level of net operating
cash flows for the time being and, if not, why not?
No. The Group expects its underlying net operating cash outflows to reduce from the September
quarter level. The September quarter outflow of $3.80 million included approximately $0.45 million of
one-off restructuring and termination payments and approximately $0.34 million of annual payments
that fall in the first quarter of each financial year (insurance premiums, ASX listing fees, software
subscriptions and workers compensation premiums). It also included the July settlement of
approximately $0.50 million of laboratory inventory invoices held at 30 June 2026, including a bulk
purchase of sequencing reagents.
Cost reductions implemented since June 2026 have reduced the Group’s annualised cash operating
costs by approximately $5 million, or over 20%, compared with FY26. The full benefit was not
reflected in the September quarter, as employment notice periods ran through the quarter. Following
slower-than-expected revenue growth in the United Kingdom, the Group plans further annualised cost
reductions of approximately $3 million, which would take the total reduction to more than 30% of the
FY26 cost base.
Quarterly outflows may vary with the timing of one-off costs associated with the further cost reductions
and with seasonally lower customer receipts over the December holiday period.
8.6.2 Has the entity taken any steps, or does it propose to take any steps, to raise further
cash to fund its operations and, if so, what are those steps and how likely does it
believe that they will be successful?
Yes. On 20 October 2026, the Company announced that it had received firm commitments to raise
$2.025 million (before costs) through a two-tranche placement at $0.04 per share, supported by
substantial shareholder Sonic Healthcare, together with Perennial, Thorney and Microba directors:
(a) Tranche 1 ($1.025 million) will be issued under the Company’s existing placement capacity under
Listing Rule 7.1 and is expected to settle on 26 October 2026. Given the firm commitments received
from existing substantial shareholders, the Company expects Tranche 1 to complete; and
(b) Tranche 2 ($1.0 million, including $75,000 from Microba directors) is subject to Microba
shareholder approval at a general meeting expected to be held in December 2026 and to Genetic
Signatures shareholders approving the proposed merger. There is no certainty that these conditions
will be satisfied.
The Group’s R&D Tax Incentive facility with Radium Capital ($2.22 million at 30 September 2026,
including capitalised interest) is secured against, and repayable from, the FY26 R&D Tax Incentive
refund, which the Group expects to receive in the December 2026 quarter. The Company is also
commencing an advisory process for a potential sale of its UK-based Invivo Supplements business,
which, if completed, may provide additional funding. There is no certainty that this process will result in
a transaction.
The Board will continue to assess the Group’s funding requirements, including in the context of the
proposed merger with Genetic Signatures, and will consider further funding options if required.
8.6.3 Does the entity expect to be able to continue its operations and to meet its business
objectives and, if so, on what basis?
Yes. The Group expects to be able to continue its operations and to meet its business objectives on
the basis that:
(a) Tranche 1 of the placement ($1.025 million before costs) is expected to settle on 26 October 2026,
with a further $1.0 million under Tranche 2 subject to the conditions outlined in 8.6.2;
(b) the September quarter outflows included approximately $0.79 million of one-off restructuring
payments and annual payments that fall in the first quarter of each financial year;
(c) the cost reductions implemented since June 2026, together with the further annualised reductions
of approximately $3 million now planned, are expected to reduce net operating cash outflows;
(d) the Radium Capital facility is repayable from the FY26 R&D Tax Incentive refund; and
(e) core testing revenue continues to grow, with record core testing revenue of $2.57 million in the
September quarter, up 31% on the prior corresponding period, and GI Navigator launched in Australia
and the United Kingdom in October 2026.
The Board continues to monitor the Group’s cash position closely.
Note: where item 8.5 is less than 2 quarters, all of questions 8.6.1, 8.6.2 and 8.6.3 above must be answered.
